The User Settings are all the settings defined that can be customized to improve the ergonomy of the software based on one's preferences. The User Settings include the following settings:

  • Library folders
  • Language of the software
  • Theme of the interface
  • Destination folders of the various export tools
  • IP camera settings
  • Layout of the different workspaces
  • ...


You can export and import your User Settings. This is useful when you install Dartfish on another computer and want to retrieve all your preferences quickly.


Export User Settings

  1. Click on Tools > Import and Export Settings...
  2. Select "Export selected environment settings" and click on "Finish"
  3. Select a destination folder. The settings are saved as a .dfsettings file

Import User Settings

  1. Click on Tools > Import and Export Settings...
  2. Select "Import selected environment settings" and click on "Finish"
  3. Select the .dfsettings file and click on "Open"
  4. Restart the software to make sure all settings are applied
