Have you tagged your matches and published your videos on dartfish.tv? The Dartfish Power BI Assistant guides you through retrieving your events and preparing them for Power BI, without writing code.

Open the Dartfish Power BI Assistant
Before you begin
You will need:
- A Dartfish account with the permissions required to access your content through the API.
- A link to a video or collection published on dartfish.tv with its events.
- Power BI Desktop installed on your Windows computer.
- An Internet connection.
Prepare your data in a few steps
- Choose your content. Paste a video link to analyse one match, or a collection link to combine events from several videos.
- Sign in to Dartfish. The assistant retrieves the required access key, then discovers the available events and categories.
- Select your categories. Choose the information you want in Power BI: players, teams, outcomes, zones or other categories from your tagging.
- Review the data types. The assistant suggests a type for each category: text, whole number, decimal number, date or coordinates. Check the previews and adjust the suggestions if needed.
- Choose your import mode. Download a Power BI template ready to open, or a reusable kit with separate parameters.
Changing the assistant’s language only changes its interface. Category names and data retrieved from Dartfish remain unchanged.
Direct import: the recommended guided mode
This is the easiest way to get started.
The assistant generates a PBIT file containing the queries, selected categories and their data types. Open it in Power BI Desktop to load your data.
If Power BI asks for credentials for https://api.dartfish.tv, select Anonymous, then Connect. The access key is already included in the queries.
You can then create your charts and save your report as a PBIX file.
The template prepares your data; it does not include a predefined dashboard.
Reusable template: advanced mode
This mode is intended for users who want to edit parameters in Power Query or add the queries to an existing report.
The ZIP kit contains TXT files with parameter expressions, queries and a LIRE-MOI.txt file explaining the procedure.
Open these files in a text editor, then copy their contents into the Power Query Advanced Editor. Do not import them as Text/CSV data.
Save your setup and manage your connection
You can save your settings and restore them later. Saved setups do not contain your access key.
Disconnect clears the access key and previews from the current browser tab while keeping your selections. New setup lets you start again.
Downloaded templates and kits contain your access key. Share them only with people authorised to access the content. If the key expires, sign in again through the assistant to obtain a new one.
