This happens when...
- You decide to use a Facebook or Apple sign-in when you already have a myDartfish account and...
- Your Facebook/ Apple account uses a different email address
In other words you have, in effect, created a new account using Facebook/ Apple and this has no access to your myDartfish cloud or any of your subscriptions. Don't worry, there is a simple solution.
On a computer or tablet
- Sign-in using your myDartfish account. If you have forgotten the password, click the Problems signing in link and follow the steps to retrieve your password
- Click on your name at the top right of the page
- Select the Account settings option
- On the account settings page, click Profile and sign-in > Social sign-in > Link account to Facebook or Link account to Apple
- Complete the steps, as requested on screen
- Now you can sign in using either Facebook or your myDartfish user name and password
On a smart phone
- Sign-in using your dartfish.tv account. If you have forgotten the password, tap the Problems signing in link and follow the steps to retrieve your password
- Tap the menu button at the top left of the screen
- Select Account settings
- Scroll down and click on Profile and sign-in details > Manage social sign-in > Link account to Facebook or Link account to Apple
- Complete the steps, as requested on screen
- Now you can sign in using either Facebook or your dartfish.tv user name and password
You still can't see all your subscriptions?
When you link Facebook to your dartfish.tv account the extra account is (in most cases) deleted and any subscriptions from that account are gone. Often, this will not matter - you'll still see all the private content that you expect - but occasionally it does; for example, if you used the other account to accept first-time access to a channel or you used it to subscribe to a pay-to-view collection. You'll now have to recreate those subscriptions:
- Private collections: If you still have the email which offered you access to videos, click the link to establish the relationship between your sign-in and that channel. If you received multiple emails from the same channel, choose any - they'll all reestablish the link.
- Private collections (where you can't find the email): Contact the channel admin and ask them to re-send the invitation or re-share the collection with you. You can find a link to contact the channel admin on the home page of the channel
- Public collections: Re-subscribe yourself
- Pay-to-view collections: contact dartfish.tv support using the link on this page. Give them the email address of your Facebook account and the email address of your dartfish.tv account
